Special billboards with information about the key tourist routes in Grodno will be placed at all major entrances to the regional capital. On the billboards, there will be schematic maps for tourists. Work is also underway to install information signs at the city's major landmarks. The signs shaped as music stands provide information in three languages about the tourist attraction, street, architectural site or ensemble, or offer some curious historical facts. In the central part of the city, one can find signs with the old names of the streets. Grodno is gaining in popularity as a tourist destination. The recreation park Augustow Canal, Grodno and its surroundings have been part of one visa-free zone since 26 October. Foreign nationals are allowed to stay on the territory of the park and its surroundings for a period of up to five days.
